Two Grannies soon to become video producers!
The town of East Bridgewater, MA (our town) has a state of the art video production facility that is very impressive! The head of that department, Russ Hannigan, is funny, interesting and a wealth of knowledge. He has been teaching us how to utilize their video equipment and soon we will be taught how to use the studio to it’s best. And then we can learn the editing software after that!
The goal here is to be able to produce our own show interviewing Baby Boomers. That’s what we want to do while we are on the road across the country. We decided, “Why Wait”? We can start THAT portion now. So we will be interviewing people in the studio and on location and trying to take a lot of what we learned from Mr. Dick Osso (see Beth’s blog, 11/8/15) and create something that will be at least passable. Okay, it will be Awesome!
Public Access TV is something that most towns have. The great thing about this is that the shows can be sent to other area towns and aired on their public access stations. So if we are interviewing someone from, say, Plymouth, MA they can eventually see their interview on their public access channel.
One other good thing is that we can travel within reason with the station’s gear so we can start interviewing in other towns and cities. More on that to come.
Sooo . . . if you know of an interesting Baby Boomer that has reinvented themselves by opening a business or starting some new venture and you think it is interesting . . . let us know so we can see about interviewing them.
Watch out! The Grannies may be coming to your town before you know it!
